A Little Harvest and a lot o' Tuck

Did you notice the homemade relish at the Harvest Festival this year?

As I was condiment-ing my lunch I exclaimed to my 7 year old, "this looks like homemade relish!"
To which the lady on my right replied, "It is."
I followed with a quick, "I wonder who made it?"
"I did,"  she smiled.

I love you Harvest Festival.

This has to be the cutest, quaintest, just-right fair in all the land.

How many chocolate bars did we win at this toilet-papery game?

I may come for the relish and the outhouse throw but I stay for the Nip N' Tuck.

It really is as fun as it looks.

$20 in my Pocket

If you want to go antiquing, these are the chicks to take with you.

It's like magic.

........The kind of magic that compels complete strangers to share their hopes and dreams with the world and then give you everything in your overflowing pile for $20.

And if we ARE coming along, we'll be getting East Indian take-out from a gas station on the way home. This time however, we will bring our own jug. Fair warning- keep your eyes on the dude carrying the cooler full of mango lassi. Don't let him confuse you with his offers for a "sip".

Leave your mother in the van.

p.s. Megan and her powers will be explored in a later post. Said post will also feature the sisters 6! Can you believe there are 6 of us roaming the earth?

Pinky Promise

Well, blogging is a pain but I promised to deliver by the end of the week.

So.....

I nominate Jane to be the official summer festivities poster since she's got "the goods" on her computer.
(remind me to bring an external hard drive next year)
I have a couple things so I'll add what I can.

I nominate myself to give you a glimpse into the fall season @ the Larson casa.

Let's do this.

Summer Tidbits

Remembering summer...here's a  smattering of summer activities that were captured on my camera:

Ode To Summer

Fresh sheets,
sunlight pours in.
Squeals of delight,
amid buzzing, green life.
No rushing,
little ones safely gathered.
Tasty, toasty bonfire fare.
Dripping, sunkissed locks,
refreshed!
Legs pumping, adventure awaits,
vivid colour all around.

Those Sharp Teeth.

I feel a tinch of guilt that I haven't blogged in ages. Not that I was stellar before...

But then I thought, "Hey, maybe blogging bites."
